Entre chanchos y lluvia ( Between peccary and rains)

By: Estef

Domingo 15-1-22

We always start our days in the jungle crossing this beautiful bridge, we had some rainy mornings but that doesn't take away from the beauty of this magical place.

The rain stopped and we were able to go out into the field after several days without doing, we appreciated Jeremy's drawings and understood a little more about how we should put the ropes in the trees before going out into the field.

On the way to the grove where we would begin our practices we managed to have an encounter with a herd of peccaries, we stopped for a few minutes and watched them as they walked stealthily around us. They are beautiful in spite of their strong smell that can be recognized without the need to see them (maybe some of us smell like that after the field :P).

Our practice was a lot of fun, we did several shots of the big shot to place the ropes in the trees, some with more technique than others but we were almost close to putting them in.

Thanks for modeling Jael <3

Our evening ended with a great bird identification class, by the way, my group was the winner (wujuu). David is so passionate that the next day many of us could identify birds just by the sounds, shapes and other things we learned. Thanks David!

And just at the end of the night on our way to our rooms we saw the biggest dragonfly we have ever seen, it was like my hand. A good end to rest and get ready to climb the next day.
